Despite forecasts of a slowdown in the real estate market, Málaga continues to show good strength in terms of real estate sales and mortgage signing; considering the latest data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) in Málaga, we observe in the first eight months of 2022 the best home sales figures in the last 15 years.
Málaga closed the month of August 2022 with 3965 sales, the highest for that month in the entire historical series, according to the INE.
The data reflected in the report published for the month of August has continued the trend of increases from previous months. Thus, the first eight months of the year yield a total of 29,613 sales in the province of Málaga, with an increase of 44% in relation to the same period of the previous year, and are getting closer to the levels of 2007, which marked the peak of the real estate boom.
The the sale of homes at the national level rose by 14.9% last August compared to the same month in 2021, totaling 57,327 transactions, its highest figure in an August since 2007, when more than 58,800 sales were exceeded, as reported this Wednesday by the INE.
The number of mortgages constituted on homes increased by 10.5% last August compared to the same month in 2021, totaling 36,721 loans, the highest figure in an August since 2010, when more than 50,000 mortgages were signed, according to data released this Wednesday by the INE.
