PREAMBLE
Professional Vacation Rental Management (AYRE ESTATES) exists to serve as an international vehicle for (owners and various partners) to increase public awareness of vacation rental accommodations and improve business as well as member profitability through education, professional standards, marketing, political involvement and industry networking.
By accepting this standard, members of AYRE ESTATES aspire to observe its spirit in all their activities and to conduct their business ethically in accordance with the points set forth below. These points establish the guidelines or ideals that all members of AYRE ESTATES should strive to achieve in an effort to raise the level of professionalism and service value within the vacation rental industry.
ARTICLE 1
In fairness to those who place their interests in the care of an AYRE ESTATES member, AYRE ESTATES members should strive to become and remain informed about issues affecting the vacation rental industry in their community, state and nation.
ARTICLE 2
In the interest of cooperation proAYRE ESTATES should refrain from making false or misleading statements or criticisms of other individuals or companies working within the vacation rental industry and, of their business practices, any comments should be offered in an objective and professional manner.
ARTICLE 3
AYRE ESTATES members should strive to eliminate in their communities any practices that may be detrimental to the public or that may bring the vacation rental industry into disrepute.
ARTICLE 4
AYRE ESTATES members should strive to set a positive example for the industry by scrupulously adhering to all state and local laws and regulations and professional standards governing vacation rentals and the conduct of the vacation rental industry. Members should be proactive in establishing and improving policies and procedures that regulate the vacation rental industry at the local, state and national levels.
ARTICLE 5
AYRE ESTATES members should strive to share their experiences with other members of the vacation rental industry with the express objective of raising the overall level of service performed and the resulting public awareness and recognition of the value of the industry in general.
ARTICLE 6
FOAYRE ESTATES members should not seek an unfair advantage over competitors and should conduct their business to avoid disputes with others in the vacation rental industry.
ARTICLE 7
AYRE ESTATES members must protect and promote the interests of their owners/clients by treating their tenants/clients honestly and fairly.
ARTICLE 8
AYRE ESTATES members must not exaggerate, misrepresent or conceal pertinent facts related to a specific property from all affected parties, including the owner/client and the actual or potential tenant/clients.
ARTICLE 9
AYRE ESTATES members must not deny equal professional services to any person on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin. Members must not make discriminatory decisions based on the above criteria or any other protected class.
ARTICLE 10
AYRE ESTATES members must maintain a competent level of service in accordance with the highest standards of the vacation rental industry.
ARTICLE 11
AYRE ESTATES members must present an accurate picture of rental offerings in all advertising and representations to the public, and must not advertise specific properties without the landlord's authorization.
ARTICLE 12
For the protection of all parties, AYRE ESTATES members must ensure that all financial obligations of landlords and tenants are made in writing in a form that expresses the exact agreement, including any terms or conditions. A copy of each agreement must be provided to the respective party at the signing of such agreement.
ARTICLE 13
The posting of any property available for vacation rental must not be posted without the owner's consent. The design and placement of signs must comply with local zoning regulations, requirements and any applicable AYRE ESTATES standards.
ARTICLE 15
AYRE ESTATES members, before entering into a relationship with a landlord, should make a reasonable effort to determine whether the prospective client is subject to an exclusive agreement in place with another rental company to provide the same type of rental services.

AYRE ESTATES is committed to ensuring that members meet high ethical standards. If you believe that a member company has acted inappropriately, you should first seek remedy with local and state regulatory agents. The AYRE ESTATES Board of Directors may act on ethical complaints against member companies after an investigation and/or appropriate agency remedy has been concluded.
